To The Members Of Our Family
Without question, the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 was among the most challenging years in recent memory. Funding cuts from some of ECF's primary sources of revenue necessitated significant sacrifices by our organization's extraordinary staff, while the demands on our hard-working Board of Directors increased exponentially in order for ECF to continue the service excellence our children, students and adults need and deserve. I remain enormously grateful to all of them, and the legions of foundations, donors and volunteers who inspire, encourage and make possible the incalculable life-enhancing outcomes witnessed every day at ECF. While I am very proud of the fact that ECF ended the fiscal year with a balanced budget, the articles contained in this issue of Developments tell the stories that matter most, and illuminate the very essence of our work. I encourage you to read our current issue of Developments, which provides our friends with a retroactive lens through which we share glimpses of the celebrations, perseverance and love the ever-expanding ECF family has helped to create over the past fiscal year, while illustrating our resolve to advance our mission despite the obstacles that face us. On behalf of the entire ECF family, thank you for everything you continue to give that keeps our family whole.
Sincerely,
Scott D. Bowling, Psy.D.
