Planned Giving

Charitable Planned Giving

The Heritage Society

ECF’s Planned Giving Program, the Heritage Society, provides a vehicle for donors and their families to include ECF in their will or estate plans.

One of the most important ways that you may express your personal commitment to the mission and work of the Exceptional Children’s Foundation is by making a gift through your will or trust that will provide future generations the same exceptional services provided to our clients today.

Please consider becoming a member of the Heritage Society, where you will join other loyal and long-time donors that have chosen ECF as a part of their legacy.

There are a variety of ways to make a gift, with different options to meet your personal circumstances and philanthropic needs. Some of these options include the following.

Gifts that Pay You Income

Charitable Gift Annuities – A gift of cash or stock in return for fixed payments to the donor for life.

  • Upon passing, a remainder is distributed to the charity.

Charitable Remainder Trust – A gift of cash, stock, real estate, or complex assets in return for variable payments – a percentage of the gift.

  • Upon passing, a remainder is distributed to the charity.
  • Donor can make additional contributions over time.

Gifts that Make an Impact After Your Lifetime

Bequests – A gift of any amount through a will, trust, life insurance policy, or IRA.

Retained Life Estate – A gift of house and/or property.

ECF encourages donors to consult with a tax professional when considering an estate gift.

In recognition of those who have made a gift, the Exceptional Children’s Foundation created the Heritage Society in 2007. As a member of the Heritage Society, you will be recognized on our Heritage Donor Wall located in the ECF Headquarters and have the opportunity to meet other Heritage Members at social events hosted by ECF.

A DONOR’S STORY

StevenRose

As a proud member of the Heritage Society, President & CEO of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, Steven Rose, shares why he decided to invest in ECF:

“I chose to include ECF in my will in honor of my niece Jackie. She was an ECF client before passing away in 2013 at the age of 38. Every ECF client I met was looking to be a more productive member of society. I am proud to lend a hand in supporting ECF. My gift will allow ECF to make a greater impact. Over the years, I’ve seen ECF grow into a sophisticated business operation with outstanding programs and services. Their strong financial position along with their growing endowment ensures the security and ongoing ability of the organization.”
