Planned GivingAn autistic toddler learns to speak. A volatile, angry teen burdened by years of academic failure graduates from high school and is accepted at a community college. A man once deemed intellectually incapable of holding a job now works at a supermarket. When you make a gift to ECF, your "return on investment" is the transformation of lives - and the satisfaction of knowing that your support played a part. Now, you can enjoy a more tangible reward, thanks to ECF's new Legacy Planning Program. ECF's Legacy Planning Program offers you the opportunity to financially benefit from your support while leaving an enriching legacy. A few of these benefits include but aren't limited to:
To offer the planning options that can produce these types of benefits, ECF has partnered with The GenRich Program, an organization dedicated to creating a richer society one generation at a time. Their experts can help you create a plan that will mutually benefit you and ECF for years to come. Keeping in mind that each person's situation is unique, here is just one example of how our Legacy Planning Program might work: Jane Doe is a 75-year-old widow. Her net worth includes a $3-million rental property that generates $140,000 in annual income that she doesn't need for her living expenses. When Jane dies, she would like to leave this property to her daughter. If Jane dies in 10 years, her rental property could have appreciated modestly to $5 million, and it will have produced a total of $1.4 million in income that Jane has saved. However, Jane's daughter would receive only $3.52 million of that $6.4 million after paying $2.88 million in wealth transfer taxes to the IRS. By utilizing financial structures offered through ECF's Legacy Planning Program, Jane could leave her daughter $5.35 million while supporting ECF with $105,000 annually over the next 10 years. That's a total of $1.05 million to help children and adults with disabilities.
