Volunteers/Interns

All program volunteers and interns must complete a volunteer application form and provide evidence of a negative TB test/chest X-ray prior to beginning their volunteer service or internship.  Volunteers and interns working in a licensed program must also undergo a live scan fingerprint clearance prior to beginning their volunteer service or internship.  Special event volunteers are excluded from the TB test/chest x-ray requirement.

ECF will accept evidence of a negative TB test/chest x-ray from volunteers and interns if the results are less than one year old and original documentation is provided.

Live Scan Fingerprint Clearance

California State law requires background checks for all employees, volunteers, and interns working in a licensed program. ECF must have evidence of clearance before a volunteer or intern is permitted to begin service.
