The 26th Annual "FIRST EVER" Golf Benefit in memory of Dale Fukamaki to support the Exceptional Children's Foundation will be held on Monday, October 6th, 2008 at:

Directions to the California Country Club:

East on Pomona (60) Freeway Exit at Crossroads Parkway; at the signal turn left. Proceed over the freeway to the next signal, which is Crossroads Parkway North; turn left. Go to Workman Mill Road; turn right. Go to Coleford Avenue (about ½ mile); turn left and proceed to the Club entrance.

West on Pomona (60) Freeway Exit at Crossroads Parkway and proceed straight through the signal. Go to Workman Mill Road; turn right. Go to Coleford Avenue (about ½ mile); turn left and proceed to the Club entrance.

North on San Gabriel River (605) Freeway Exit at Peck Road; go to signal at end of off-ramp; turn left onto Pellissier Place. Stay in left lane. The road becomes Workman Mill Road. Go to Coleford Avenue (about ½ mile); turn left and proceed to the Club entrance.

South on San Gabriel River (605) Freeway Exit at Valley Boulevard (exit 21); keep right at the fork to go on East Valley Boulevard. Go to Workman Mill Road; turn right. Go to Coleford Avenue (about ½ mile); turn left and proceed to the Club entrance.

About Dale Fukamaki

Dale M. Fukamaki (1930-1999) became involved with ECF when two of his five children, Darrel and Terri, became volunteers for the ECF Recreation Program. The family-sponsored "First Ever" Golf Benefit has been held since 1982 to raise funds for the Recreation Program.

In 1984, the Fukamaki family received the "Outstanding Family Award for Distinguished Service to the Mentally Retarded" from the Kennedy Foundation Special Olympics. In 1990, they were the recipients of the ARC-US "Volunteer Family of the Year Award" in the Southwest Region which included Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. Dale was a longtime member of the ECF Board of Directors, and served as President from 1988 to 1992.
