Supported Employment

As one employer commented, "You never know where you will find a diamond. These employees have proven that they are vital and useful. It is well worth the time and effort to train them."

ECF's Supported Employment program offers an attractive gateway to greater independence to adults with developmental and other disablilities through sustained and gainful employment in the community. Participants are generally referred to ECF by their local Regional Center.

Supported Employment services include interest assessment and job matching, community job placement, on-the-job training and support, and ongoing case management and support.

The program offers a continuum of options for community-integrated employment including individual, group, and work crew placements. ECF job coaches play a key role in providing initial and ongoing training, support, and case management. The job coach is integral to fostering each client's professional growth while ensuring the customer satisfaction of each employer.

ECF clients have been employed by a wide variety of businesses and government entities for clerical, janitorial, shelf stocking, grounds maintenance, and food service assignments.

Employers have included Ralph's, Kinko's, Target, Trader Joe's, Hilton Hotels, the Los Angeles Superior Court, and the cities of Culver City and Santa Monica.  Employers benefit from our clients' strong job retention records, as well as the diversity that our clients bring to the workforce.
