Art Centers

ECF's Art Centers offer an innovative program offering instruction in fine arts to adults with developmental disabilities. ECF's Art Centers offers full-day programming five days a week. Participants are generally referred to ECF by their local Regional Center.

ECF Artists, who range in age from 18 to about 65, may have multiple disabilities such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, physical handicaps, and emotional and psychiatric disorders.

ECF's Art Centers encourages and promotes each participant's maximum personal development by offering professional art training and studio facilities in a nuturing, art-centered environment, complemented by services in independent living skills, academics, counseling, and behavior management.

Art instruction is offered in a variety of mediums, such as water color, oil, colored pencils, pen and ink, printmaking, weaving, quilting, ceramics, pottery, paper-mache, and photography.
