ECF’s adult artists with developmental disabilities now have a space to display their work and the opportunity to integrate into the Los Angeles contemporary art scene. The Downtown Art Center and Gallery, located at 828 Main Street, will celebrate with a grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 5 to 9 PM.

This opening show and reception will introduce the gallery to local artists, the Hollywood industry and ECF supporters. Marsha McManus and Nancy Perkins will co-chair the event. The steering committee includes Adam Arkin, Sully Erna, Claire Forlani, Debra Monk, Jim J. Parsons, Seth Rogen, Judy Stabile and Steve Zahn. Approximately 90 artists’ work will be represented, and all sales will benefit the artists and the ECF Art Center.

ECF’s Art Center has provided adults with developmental disabilities a nurturing artistic environment, professional art training, and studio facilities since 1968. Over the years, the Art Center has received numerous awards and is nationally recognized for leadership in demonstrating that developmentally disabled individuals have the ability to excel in producing fine art. Art Center participants range in age from 18 to 65 and often have multiple disabilities.
