3rd Annual ECF Business Partner Luncheon
At the 3rd Annual ECF Business Partner Luncheon on June 15, 2017, we recognized over 100 local businesses for their support of ECF services, and their efforts to build an inclusive and diverse workforce by training and hiring individuals with developmental disabilities from ECF programs.
Guests who attended the luncheon represented a wide range of local industries, from financial services to aeronautics, including California United Bank, Hawker Pacific Aerospace, EV Safe Charge and L.A. Trial Lawyers Charities.
ECF presented three businesses with 2017 Exceptional Business Partner Awards:
- Paulsson, Inc. of Van Nuys for hiring employees from ECF’s Exceptional Employment Solutions, who successfully completed training with ECF’s Uniquely Abled Initiative
- Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies of Torrance for allowing high school students with special needs from the Kayne Eras School, operated by ECF, to practice the skills they learned in pre-vocational classes on-site at the Sepulveda Boulevard store
- Stone Candles / Light for Life Cause for contracting with ECF’s Exceptional Pacaging Solutions, for creating an integrated workplace at ECF’s Exceptional Building in Inglewood, and for launching a new line of fragrance products dedicated to increasing awareness about the capabilities of adults with developmental disabilities.
ECF thanks Paul K. Zimmerman for sponsoring the luncheon at his family’s restaurant, Killer Shrimp, in Marina del Rey.
